Yuga Labs, the creative studio behind Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), has announced an expansion to its non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem that starts with a free mint and a skill-based game.
The expansion of the Bored Ape Yacht Club ecosystem, which includes gamification, includes the ability to mint a free Sewer Pass that can be used to play a game called Dookey Dash.
Dookey Dash, a game that can be played by anyone who holds a Sewer Pass, including those bought on the secondary market. Players can play the game as many times as they want, with the aim of getting a score higher than 0 to validate their Sewer Passes and turn them into “a mysterious power source.”
The limited release, consisting of multiple stages, starts on January 17th, by offering a free mint for holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club/Mutant Ape Yacht Club called Sewer Passes. These tokens are necessary to access a skill-based game called Dookey Dash, which becomes available to play on January 18th.
“Sewer Pass holders will compete for the highest score and earn their new power source,” BAYC shared in a series of tweets on Wednesday. “The highest single-run score on your specific Sewer Pass and accompanying wallet that achieved the run will determine what it reveals.”
The team also mentioned to keep whatever is discovered close ,as it is meant to develop throughout 2023, and to stay observant.
Based on the plan of Yuga Labs’ latest venture, the NFTs generated from this one-month trial will be included in a story-based experience called “Chapter 1” in the future.
