UAE jumps into early adopters of Metaverse – Dubai Metaverse Strategy

Investors and businesses are vying for a piece of the “next chapter” of the internet, which is expected to transform how people interact online. The internet changed how we interacted with one another on a social and economic level, and the metaverse holds the potential to do the same.

Users can engage with one another in computer-generated locations like stores, learning facilities, and conference rooms in the three-dimensional, hyper-realistic metaverse. It integrates features from social media, virtual reality, augmented reality, video games, and other cutting-edge technology. Imagine living in a shared virtual world where you could interact with others, play games, and take on the role of an avatar. You could also shop for the newest trends without ever leaving the comfort of your home, and you could use cryptocurrency to buy virtually anything you wanted that was backed by non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or other digital assets.

The best attractions and landmarks in the world will soon be accessible to consumers worldwide from the comfort of their homes, fusing the physical and digital worlds.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be the first cities to be launched in the “world first” virtual world that replicates authentic real-life experiences and locations, according to UAE Metaverse Holdings. A beta version is scheduled to go live by October 2022, and it will be accessible to everyone by the end of the year.

With the fusion of the physical and digital worlds, users will soon be able to enjoy the best monuments and attractions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from the comfort of their homes.

As the nation moves ahead with ambitions to create a digital economy and utilize emerging technologies, the UAE Cabinet has authorized the establishment of the Higher Committee for Government Digital Transformation.

DUBAI METAVERSE JOBS:

An in-depth examination of the ways in which the Dubai Metaverse Strategy is boosting technological trends, fostering economic chances, and promoting employment opportunities in the emirates.

The Dubai Metaverse Strategy, which Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, unveiled earlier this month, intends to boost the metaverse sector’s economic contribution to $4 billion by 2030 by creating Dubai Metaverse jobs.

The Dubai Metaverse Strategy, led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, also aims to boost the metaverse’s GDP contribution to 1% of the Emirate’s GDP.

The state-run news agency reported that Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, have now ordered the creation of a task force to monitor the most recent changes in the digital economy, including technological and metaverse trends.

The instructions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to establish a higher committee to oversee Dubai’s future technology advancements highlight the significance of looking to the future with an open mind, as stated by Sheikh Hamdan.

“The move will help us fully understand reality and explore unique ideas that will shape a brighter future for Dubai and the UAE, maximizing future business opportunities.”

This statement proves that the right mentality is emerging in these fast-paced areas of the world like Dubai itself.

DIGITAL ECONOMY IN DUBAI
Dubai revealed the creation of the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy last week with the goal of advancing the industry.

Sheikh Hamdan confirmed the employment of the Higher Committee on the key pillars of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy. The committee wants to use metaverse technology to assist the virtualization of 42,000 positions and boost resident surgeons’ performance by 230 percent and engineers’ productivity by 30 percent. The committee is now engaged in identifying possibilities and problems as well as advancing the creation of the legal framework that will address all future sectoral requirements.

The committee is also striving to qualify human capital so that it can succeed in the virtual world. By 2025, it is predicted that the metaverse’s commercial profits might increase from $180 billion to $400 billion

Our imaginary future was supposed to create flying cars but here we are going beyond in a world where we won’t even need to commute to get to the other end. Virtual reality will store our world in advance. Hence, a Metaverse!
